AABCA and MEBCO Send a Message to MoDOT

Hilary Ogunrinde, Spokesperson for the African/American Business Contractor Association (AABCA) and Pat Clark, President of the Metro East Black Contractors Organization (MEBCO)

Mr. Pete K. Rahn, Director
MODOT

Mr. Rahn:
This is to advise that the members of AABCA and MEBCO called an emergency meeting this evening to discuss your October 5, 2009 letter to the Secretary of IDOT, in which you state that MODOT, "will not pursue joint, split DBE goals" for the Mississippi River Bridge project. Following a discussion of your letter, the organizations voted unanimously in favor of the following resolution:

"Because MODOT has demonstrated a lack of good faith by deciding to not pursue with IDOT a waiver for the MRB project, we resolve to use any and all legal means necessary to implement separate goals for minorities and women implemented on the MRB project."
